Privacy Policy

This site runs one contact form and, if you allow it, one analytics tool. There is no advertising, no tracking across other websites, and nothing is ever sold. This policy says so in detail.

01Who we are

Design Marc Interiors ("we", "us") is an interior design practice based in Tampa, Florida, USA, and is the controller responsible for personal information collected through designmarc.com. Design production is carried out by our principal from her studio in Spain, so your information may be accessed from there in the ordinary course of answering your inquiry.

Questions about this policy, or a request about your personal information, go to jennifer@designmarc.com or Design Marc Interiors, Tampa, Florida, USA. We answer every request, and we will not charge you for making one.

02What we collect

We collect only two categories of information, and you control both.

  • Information you submit. Your name, email address, company, project type, budget range, timeline and the description of your project, the fields on the consultation form. If you email or call instead, we hold whatever you chose to tell us.
  • Analytics, only with your consent. If you accept analytics in the cookie banner, we record aggregate usage: pages viewed, approximate region, device type, and how you arrived. If you decline or ignore the banner, no analytics cookies are set and no analytics data is collected.

03What we do not collect

We do not collect payment card details, government identifiers, precise location, biometric data, or any special category data through this website. We do not run advertising pixels, we do not build profiles, and we do not track you across other websites. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

04Why we use it

Inquiry details are used to reply to you, scope the work, and, if we go ahead, administer the engagement. Analytics are used to understand which pages are useful. That is the whole list.

Our legal bases, where the GDPR applies: your inquiry is processed to take steps at your request prior to entering a contract, and thereafter for our legitimate interest in running the practice; analytics are processed on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

05Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We have never done either, and this policy would have to change before we could.

A small number of service providers process data on our behalf under contract, and only on our instructions:

  • Vercel Inc., website hosting and delivery (United States).
  • Cloudflare, Inc., DNS and email routing for our domain (United States).
  • Our email provider, delivery and storage of inquiry messages.
  • Our analytics provider, only if you consented to analytics.

06International transfers

We are a United States business and information is stored in the United States. Because design work is produced from Spain, information may also be accessed from the European Economic Area. Where personal data is transferred out of the EEA or the United Kingdom, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or another approved transfer mechanism.

07How long we keep it

Inquiries that do not become projects are deleted within 24 months. Records connected to an engagement are kept for seven years after the project closes, which is the period we need for tax, professional and limitation purposes. Analytics data is retained in aggregate for 26 months.

08Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, and we will do it.

If you are in the EEA or the UK, you also have the right to restrict or object to processing, the right to data portability, the right to withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing, and the right to complain to your supervisory authority, in Spain, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos.

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know, delete, correct, and to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising any right.

To exercise any of these, email jennifer@designmarc.com. We respond within 30 days, or 45 days for California requests.

09Security

The site is served over TLS. Inquiry data is transmitted encrypted and held in access-controlled accounts protected by multi-factor authentication. No system is perfect, and we will not claim otherwise, but we hold very little, which is the strongest protection available.

10Changes

We will update the effective date above when this policy changes. If a change is material, we will say what changed rather than quietly reissuing the document.
