One item of local storage, dmc_consent, records whether you accepted or declined analytics so we do not ask again on every page. It contains a single value and an expiry date. It cannot be switched off, because it is what remembers your choice, and it expires after 12 months.

If you accept, an analytics cookie records aggregate usage: which pages are read, roughly which region you are in, device type, and referring source. It does not identify you, and we cannot use it to contact you.

If you decline, or simply ignore the banner, no analytics cookie is written and no analytics request is made. Declining costs you nothing, every part of the site works identically.

No advertising cookies. No social media pixels. No cross-site trackers. No fingerprinting. No data brokers.

Use the Cookie settings link in the footer to change your choice at any time. Clearing your browser's site data for this domain also resets it, and the banner will ask again on your next visit.
